Why are phone calls, Teams, or Zoom meeting emphasized?

Email, text and many other forms of communication are not protected by the privilege.  They are often sent from unencrypted sources and are routinely subject to accidental disclosure.  We also reduce overhead by allowing employees to work from home office's.

Why Fixed or Subscription Pricing?

Many legal services are built off of standard forms or are more automatable than they used to be.  This encourages us to be efficient with our time, rather than spend open ended time on standard documents.  These are not chat gpt (chat AI can not draft decent agreements!), they are documents created by experienced business attorneys who know state law and have seen the results of the contracts in actual business operations.  Our standard documents have this in mind, and we will still have to customize sections that need special attention for your particular needs.  We will still give you the same quality product while working efficiently under fixed billing.  We also discuss some numerous other reasons on our subscription counsel page.

How are subscriptions charged?

Subscriptions are billed at the beginning of each month.  Subscriptions are considered earned thirty (30) days after they are due, but may be refunded before the earned date.  Subscriptions can be cancelled anytime by either party with thirty (30) days notice.

What is included in the subscriptions?

Subscriptions include the fixed prices above, as well as access to the add-on services.  Feel free to ask about other potential services you are interested in and we will see if we can help.

Overall you get our knowledge base, as well as that of our partners.  We have operated in so many different business types, as well as advised on even more areas of business, compliance, or transactional law.  This has given us industry wide knowledge on simply what works.  In many areas like Safety/OSHA, tax, software implementations, litigation, or accounting we work with trusted and experienced third parties to complete projects.  Don't make the mistake of running the gambit on software or other third party sources, when we can possibly help you make the only decision you will need to make!  

Subscription rates do not include work needed for mergers and acquisitions, business sales or purchases, corporate restructuring, which will be billed at the applicable hourly rate.  CFC Law Office does not litigate outside of uncontested probate, nor do we practice tax, criminal, family, bankruptcy, securities, privacy, or patent law.  CFC Law Office does not offer insurance coverage opinions.  Any advise on insurance is not based on the policy language itself, only basic inferences from coverages you carry and your business.  Contact your insurance provider for further information or we can connect you with a coverage specialist.

Why do we encourage clients to start compliance implementations as a law firm?

Compliance implementations include numerous pieces of software, usually industry specific, necessary to implement our legal advice through legal policies or procedures.  They protect you against breaking laws or liability exposure you will have even if you are not aware of the rules or laws.  Examples include: not paying payroll taxes properly, OSHA safety compliance, or poor accounts payable procedures resulting in a scam.  No other firm we are aware of can help coordinate this compliance with the proper software.  Examples are project management platforms such as Pro-Core or Arcoro, ERP platforms such as Accumatica and SAP and ecosystems like Azure Active Directory.  Using these pieces of software or procedures (at the right time) reduces risk and are becoming industry benchmarks, as well as:

1. Compliance helps you get larger contracts and avoid costly litigation.  

2. In the modern world most of this can be automated with proper compliance a paper trails.

3. Other firms do not understand how to apply law in operational ways using these automated compliance measures.

4. These are becoming benchmarks and by not having them you are creating significant liability for negligence and gross negligence.

5. Other firms do not have attorney/operators with business experience who know how to communicate with software, construction, accounting, human resource, and safety teams.

6. Higher chance of collecting and winning payment or work scope disputes.

What is limited scope litigation consulting?

CFC Law Office does not litigate, except uncontested probates.  The cost up front by using your subscription, plus our ability to monitor litigation can greatly reduce your legal expenses in the long run.  Our firm has seen routine advice structured to maximize litigation costs in ways that can only be caught by a trained attorney, which we ensure is not the case when we manage outside counsel.  Our interest is to save you litigation cost exposure while holistically advising you on balancing the risk.

Refunds or Subscription cancellation policy?

You may cancel your subscription at anytime.  Due to the nature of the subscription program, and our office reserving availability, we do not issue refunds for the current monthly period you are currently subscribed.
